Tour Itinerary

Mountainbiking Week
Tour Programme

Day 1 : Arrival

Transfer from Dalaman Airport to Dalyan. Welcome tour of Dalyan with local guide giving information about the local history and culture. Settle in to a local hotel.

Day 2 : Turtle Beach

Caretta Caretta Tour. 30km On the first day we cycle to the local four and a half kilometer long beach, famously known as the Caretta Caretta beach, where for millions of years the endangered turtles have been nesting. The route is fairly straightforward apart from one mountain where we stop to rest and enjoy lunch. The village where we stop is called Gokbel.

Day 3 : Olemez Mountain and Hotsprings

First we cross the Calbis river with one of the local fishing boats. Passing Kaunos along the side and gping through the village of Candir will give you a good warming up for the climb of 800 M we will make today. The climb starts on tarmak road and we take a turn at the first hill top into the forrest over dirt road. Winding up to the top of the Olemez mountain. Great panoramic views over the lake of Koycegiz, the delta and with clear weather you will even be able to see the Island of Rhodes. A delicious picnic lunch is waiting for us at the high point. From here it is only downhill. At least 8 K dirt road which goes over in an asphalt road to the village of Sultaniye where the famous hotspings and mudbaths are waiting for us. After the relaxing spa we return to Dalyan by boat!

Day 4 : Asi Beach Tour

Asi Beach Tour. 50km-cycling out of Dalyan will give you a good warming up to reach the top of the Bozburun mountain at a height of 450m. This is the longest day, but the most rewarding. The idyllic small bay of Asi Koyu is a remote beach out of reach of all but the most determined tourists, as it is found only by an experienced local guide who knows the country tracks intimately. After ample swimming in the azure sea the route continues to the small farming village Guvez where we will enjoy a farmers lunch. After lunch the track is fairly easy and flat over tarmac road and one climb over the Gokbel hill (200 m).

Day 5 : Free day

Enjoy a free day in Dalyan. Explore the ancient city of Kaunos, go to the beach by boat, join one of our other tours. Your guide will help you with all possibilities!

Day 6 : Gocek Bay

In the morning we transfer to the small village Serifler & our hotel Dalya Life, here we unload the bikes and will follow the mountainroads to the bays of Gocek. After an intensive downhill we have a swimbreak in one of the small bays of Gocek. The tour continues to the centre of the sailing village of Gocek. We enjoy lunch here and you have an optional ride out of town uphill or use the luxury of the support vehicle. At the top we all start mountainbiking, down into the pine forrest to the river and make two crossings. All of sudden we are out of the forrest and can cross the mainroad to the hotel! In the hotel time to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and large swimming pool.

Day 7 : Sarsala Beach

Using the mountainroads to cycle over the top of the hill to Serifler village. We enjoy a cup of Turkish tea here on the village square. From here downhill and through the forrest to Kapikiri. Once exiting the village the roads starts to climb, passing the big impersing lake with steep cliff walls. From the top (300m) a panoramic view over de the bays and islands of Gocek. Downhill to the beach and swimming time. A great Turkish lunch will be ready for you after the swimbreak. After another swim or some chilling out time to continue (back up the hill) following the mountainroads leading along mountain houses and olive groove yards back to the hotel.

Day 8 : Departure

Reluctantly, we say good-bye and transfer back to the airport.
