What currency should I bring and where can I exchange money?
You can exchange money in Dalyan at two banks (open from 08:30 to 17:00) or at the Post Office (PTT) which is open from 08:30 to 18:00. There are also several ATMs located throughout the village.
All three locations can exchange travellers’ cheques and provide ATM services that accept major credit cards. If one ATM does not accept your card, simply try another.
Most shops and businesses prefer cash, although credit cards are widely accepted.
The official currency of Türkiye is the Turkish Lira.
In most cases, the best exchange rates are available in Türkiye. Many hotels and some shops will exchange British Pounds and travellers’ cheques.
Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted.
Please note that Scottish banknotes are usually not accepted.
Luggage & Baggage
For charter flights, the baggage allowance is generally:

Infants under 2 years old do not have a separate baggage allowance.
Computers, radios and other electronic items should not be placed in the main suitcase and should instead be carried in hand luggage.

Once we receive your request, our villa specialists will contact you within 24 hours with information regarding payment options and the reservation procedure.
To rent a villa you must be at least 18 years old.
How do I pay for my reservation?
To confirm your reservation, 30% of the total accommodation cost must be paid as a deposit via bank transfer.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 8 weeks before your arrival date.
Can I cancel my reservation?
The deposit paid for the reservation is non-refundable.
For confirmed bookings made with a deposit, no refunds will be issued in case of cancellation.
Can I change my reservation dates?
Reservation dates may be changed depending on the availability of the villa and approval from the villa owner.

In Dalyan there are several supermarkets including Migros, Şevikoğlu, BIM and Şok, as well as many local shops.
A traditional weekly market is held every Saturday in Dalyan.
If you wish, we can also do your grocery shopping before arrival for a service fee based on your shopping list.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A security deposit of 10,000 TL is required to cover possible damage or loss during your stay.
If no damage is detected, the deposit will be returned via bank transfer on the departure day.
Do you provide airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the accommodation price.
However, Kaunos Tours offers paid airport transfer services.
We also provide car rental services in cooperation with Europcar.

Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on availability and may incur an additional fee.
Villa Cleaning
All villas are thoroughly cleaned before each guest arrival.
For stays of one weeks or longer, one weekly mid- cleaning is provided free of charge.
Additional cleaning services are available upon request.
Swimming Pool
Pools are cleaned and disinfected every morning before 09:00.
Pool depth varies depending on the villa but is generally between 1.45 m and 1.60 m.
Running around the pool and children swimming unsupervised are strictly prohibited.
Electricity & Water
Electricity in Türkiye is 220 Volt AC using a two-pin plug.
Some villas provide hot water through solar energy systems.
Tap water in Dalyan is clean but has a high mineral content, therefore bottled drinking water is recommended.
Towels
All villas provide bath towels.
However, these must not be used at the pool or beach.
Health
The sun can be very strong during the summer months, so we recommend using high factor sun protection.
Mosquito repellent sprays or tablets are also recommended.
Pharmacies are usually open from 09:00 to 21:00.
Türkiye is not a member of the European Union, therefore EHIC/E111 health cards are not valid.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Behaviour Rules
Visitors are expected to respect Turkish culture and laws.
In the villas:

Can I bring extra guests beyond the villa capacity?
No.
Guests are not allowed to sleep outside the number of beds provided.
If extra guests are brought to the villa without our knowledge and the capacity is exceeded, the contract may be terminated without refund.

Pets
According to the requests of villa owners, pets are not allowed in our villas.
What facilities are available in rental villas?
Each villa is owned by different individuals and may offer different features depending on size, layout and facilities.

How do we receive the villa keys?
Before your arrival we will contact you with important information about your stay.
On your arrival day, a member of our team will meet you, give you the keys and show you around the villa.
Do we need to clean the villa before leaving?
No.
All villas are cleaned by our cleaning team after your departure.
Can I organise a party or event in the villa?
No.
All our villas have a strict no-events policy.
If you are planning a wedding or special event, please contact us beforehand to avoid unexpected costs.
Are all villas suitable for children?
Not necessarily.
Each villa has different safety features. While some families may find a villa suitable for children, others may not.
Guests are responsible for ensuring the villa meets their personal safety requirements.
By entering the villa you accept that Kaunos Tours cannot be held responsible for child safety issues.
What should I do in case of theft?
Although very rare, theft incidents may occasionally occur during the tourist season.
Many villas have alarm systems and security cameras.
Please take valuables with you when leaving the villa.
Our company cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft.
Do we share the villa with other guests?
No.
When you rent a villa, the entire property and its facilities are exclusively for your use.
Can I check out early?
If guests wish to check out before 08:00, our staff cannot inspect the villa immediately.
In this case, the villa key should be left at a designated location.
Once the villa has been checked later in the day, and if no damage or loss is found, your deposit will be returned via bank transfer.
