The perfect holiday for hikers. The Lycian way is an ancient trail along the coast in South West Turkey. The first way-marked long distance footpath takes you over mountains, through small villages and the rich ancient history of Turkey. The nights will be spend in small, comfortable hotels as well as in basic pensions and family houses in the villages. As you walk along this stunning coastline, you will have many possibilities for swimstops. A perfect opportunity to discover the rural areas and pure nature away from the crowds, the real Turkish home cooking and the village hospitality.
Comfortable shorts and walking boots, swim wear and towel, small rucksack and a larger one for transfer, sunscream, sun glasses, hat, head lamp or torch, water (at least 1 lt), camera, rain coat and warm clothes (for early spring and late autumn).

To do this tour, you don`t need to be in top condition; but, you do need a sense for adventure and have done some walks before.
These tours are all in outdoor and you should understand that the conditions are accordingly. Any pre-known health conditions must be mentioned at moment of booking and informed to the guide. Itinerary is subject to change due to weather and demand.
Age limit for this excursion is 14 without parents and 12 with parents (Family with younger children? Contact us for a special pack). There is no child discount for this excursion.
Transfer from Dalaman airport to the hotel.
Crossing the Calbis river by boat, taking the path follwing the along the ruins of Kaunos. Passing through the sleeping village of Candir we continue in the forest into the mountains. The path we follow is being used by the locals as well and will give you some great panoramic vieuws over the Mediterranean. Arrival in a small bay of Ekincik where we swim and will enjoy our lunch on board of the traditional wooden boat which takes us back to Dalyan.
Early departure from Dalyan to drive to the start point of the Lycian way. You will only carry your daypack, the main lugage will be taken to the next stop by our van. The mountain trail takes us up to level of 2000 feet from where you have a jaw dropping view over the famous blue lagoon of Oludeniz. The trails takes us further into the pineforest and we will end todays trek in the small village of Faralya which is just above the Butterfly valley. A nice stone/bungalow accommodation with pool and panoramic views is ready for you.
An easy day. Mountain trails and goat paths will take us through the forest to the small village of Kabak. After lunch we go further down to the sandy beach for swimming and relaxing. All-wooden bungalows are quite unique and lovely to spend the night at this tranquil beach.
Leaving the sea behind us we follow the track through the wild forest up to the village of Alinca. A family from the village has prepared lunch for us. From their roof terrace you can enjoy a wide panoramic view over the Sea which is 2000 feet below. We continue our way for a short while over the main village road from where it bents into the valley and continues as moountaintrail to the village of Gey. A turkish family has opened their house for us and we will live a day of their lives.
Last day on the Lycain route, we will be on an interesting route full of seascapes, a nice Lycian sarcophagus, downhills and uphills, centuries-old olive trees. After lunch at a village house in Bel, we will ascend to a saddle, then from there it`s all downhill, sometimes on an ancient Roman track, all the way to Gavuragili, overlooking the magnificant coast below. Once arrived in the village of Gavuragili the bus is ready for us to take us back to Dalyan.
